Words of Wisdom Sets

Seeing as I've sold a couple of these sets now I thought I'd let you all see what the finished product looks like and give you some more information. The packaging takes me a ridiculous amount of time to do, but I can't help trying to make it pretty. I just hope I get quicker at it in the future :)

The Words of Wisdom sets are R120 per set of 4.

They make a lovely unique gift, some ideas for occasions are engagement parties, weddings, housewarmings or kitchen tea/bridal showers.

You can choose from a set of coffee spoons, tea spoons or cake forks.

Each piece of cutlery will be hand stamped with one word. Some examples of sets are:
Live, Love, Laugh, Learn
Inspire, Nurture, Motivate, Teach (good for teacher's gifts)
Eat, Drink, Pray, Love
Joy, Love, Truth, Peace
Think, Dream, Inspire, Believe

As you can see the possibilities are endless :)

Stamped Jewellery - Sterling Silver Pendants in Stock!

This last weekend I managed to source a few sterling silver blanks but my stock of the pendants is limited as I want to work out demand etc before in investing in more, so if you would like one contact me quickly :D

If anyone is interested in a stamped pendant you can get hold of me on whimsyandwhatnots@gmail.com and we can work out a quote depending on what you want/need.

The Circle has a 2.5cm diameter
The Square is 2cm x 2cm
And the Teardrop is 1.5cm X 1.5cmExample of an initial pendant (The pendant pictured is not available)

*Please note that sizing does limit the amount of words/names I can fit on them, but the square and circle should fit up to 4 average length names, while the teardrop is perfect for an initial or two.

Meal Planner

I came across this lovely free printable meal planner on Ollibird and I loved the idea so I decided to finally get myself organised and use it.

I took it up to the local print shop and had it printed and laminated there, so now I can write my meal plan on it with a white board marker and just wipe clean and start again then next week.

So far I'm loving it, no more umming and aahing over what to cook only to realise I don't have half the ingredients plus forgot to defrost the meat. Now I can plan my weekly shop, and just glance at the meal planner to know what's happening.

I'm also think this is a nice little gift idea, so I may design my own planner to print in the future so I can include it in kitchen tea gifts etc :D

Busy busy busy...

So far my little business has been well received, thank you so much for all the support :D

I have roped my husband into creating the website for me and we are busy busy working on it any moment we have spare. I have a million ideas and no idea how to pare them down...LOL we were just discussing colour schemes and I would have the whole palette in there while he just rolls his eyes...but hopefully we'll get there sooner rather than later.

I'll just leave you with a few of the sets ready to go, I have so much fun putting them together. Have a good weekend all!

My little business idea

I've been busy with a little business idea and was waiting for my website, but sadly it's a case of the cobbler's children going without shoes at the moment and the website will be a while longer in the making.

In the meantime I've decided to start selling my Kid's Cutlery Set, personalised with each child's name.

Each set consists of a stainless steel spoon and fork which has the owner's name hand stamped onto it. The name is impressed into the stainless steel so cannot wash off.

As each item is hand stamped with love, please remember it will not be perfect, but it will be perfectly unique...which is the beauty & appeal of handmade items I like to think :)

I'm selling the sets for R85.00 each, excluding postage.

If you are interested you can e-mail me on whimsyandwhatnots@gmail.com

I'm also selling Words of Wisdom sets, which is a set of four coffee spoons with a special message stamped onto each one, they make great wedding or housewarming gifts.

Once the website is up and running I hope to offer a couple of other products too, here's a sneak peek at some of the ideas running through my mind at the moment.
