Busy Busy Bee

I have been so busy lately so have neglected my blog slightly...sorry blog!

Someone asked me if I had a bee stamp the other day...I don't...but I loved the idea of a little honey bee so after a little inspiration there were soon a couple bees buzzing about the studio

And here is the final order, I hope they are liked!

Moomie Blog Article

A little while ago Jana from the Moomie Blog & Forum contacted me with regards to doing a giveaway with them. I thought it was a great idea and the giveaway ran and was won by one of their members.

Congratulations Bronz and I hope your son enjoys the set!

Recently Jana contacted me again with regards to doing an article on lil' ol' me, I was so flattered I had to say yes!

You can read the article here and check out the rest of the forum and site, it seems like a great place!

Birdie on a Branch

Wanted to try out an idea I had for a little birdie on a branch.

If you wanted to you could add names too!

My studio has a new tenant!

So a couple posts ago I mentioned my fruitless journey to obtain some silver discs, well on that same trip I happened across the most gorgeous toyshop called Kinderspiel.
Of course having 2 small children and Christmas coming up I just HAD to go in.

I'd already decided my baby girl was going to get a doll for Christmas as she doesn't have one, and when I saw their Kathe Kruse dolls I knew I'd found the right ones. I spent an age going through all the different ones before settling on one and now have it safely tucked away for a few months time :)

However, in the process I fell in love with one myself, but a grown women buying an overpriced rag doll for herself just seemed a bit overboard, so I hightailed it out of there and spent several hours stuck in traffic instead.

After listening to me talk about the doll all weekend my husband finally convinced me that I did in fact need her and it wasn't that silly a grown woman wanting a doll (said with slightly rolly eyes), and today she arrived. So now I have a little company in the studio/office while I'm busy!

The little note that came with her says:
Our "water doll" with her light blue dress & dolphin pendant covers the area of life regarding "career". This refers not only to the business career but also to the setting of life's goals and maintaining of life's tasks."
So pretty appropriate I think :)

And here she is

Sterling Silver Washers

Here's the dimensions of the sterling silver washer I have at the moment.
With some special words or names & some beautiful beads it will make a lovely pendant.
Limited stock!

Bunny boo!

The little person this bunny belongs to is still hiding out in Mommy's tummy, so I'm just waiting for the baby to arrive before we put the owner's name on.
I'm having fun with these rabbits, and no two are alike ;)

Good & Bad News

Well the bad news is sadly I'm all out of stock of the round sterling silver pendants at the moment. I ordered some more from the manufacturer and they told me to collect this last Friday, so small baby in tow I trekked halfway around the world in nightmare traffic only to be told "Aw shucks, we didn't realise you wanted the ROUND ones, we don't have any of those!"...I was not too charmed!!!

Anyway, I'm waiting for them to get back to me otherwise I'm going to have to start from scratch and source another supplier.

In the meantime I thought I'd show you examples of the pendants I do have!

The small heart pendant
The 25mmx 25mm square pendant

So what exactly can you make?

That's a question I'm getting a lot of these days.

Of course the possibilities are endless, all it takes is time, materials & effort...but when it comes to the stamped stuff I thought I'd show you exactly what I have.

So here it is!

Book review: Angel Song by Sheila Walsh & Kathryn Kushman

Ann Fletcher returns to her childhood home to celebrate her sister’s achievements only to be left utterly alone in this world. Or is she alone? As the story unfolds you discover Ann is surrounded by beings that care for, and love her. Some are undoubtedly human while others are more angelic in nature.

While Ann thinks herself a modern and career driven woman, she keeps finding herself drawn back to her childhood roots. Could it be divine intervention of an angelic nature protecting her, or is she suffering from a delusion? I found Ann’s journey of discovery uplifting and comforting. While the idea of angels is one people often acknowledge it is something not often discussed in terms of how it relates to our physical world. The one thing I felt lacking in the novel was God’s presence, after all at the end of the day the angels obey His command.

I’d recommend this book to anyone looking for an enjoyable and easy read.

New Logo

My husband has been working on my website and with that came the design of a logo. He finally sent me the finished product which I promptly had to add to the blog!

Isn't it pretty ♥♥♥

Bunnies!

We like bunnies here, so when I was asked to make a bunny for one of my favourite little people how could I say no?
