Parcel day

I had some parcels arrive this week...I LOVE parcels...so much of an excitement!!!

Inside the little one were two little pairs of shoes for my Blythe girls...and they're just perfect.
And this was inside the big one...
Open the lid...
And look who was hiding under the booklet...
My first BJD - a perfect Littlefee Ante from Fairyland!
She's a special girl who I saw last year and fell in love with...since then I've been saving up to buy my own
When a few weeks ago her previous owner offered to let me adopt her...and who could say no to this face?
I'd knitted this little jersey before she arrived and luckily it fit perfectly
And matches her beautiful eyes
This morning I whipped up a pair of leggings and then she joined me on the couch for a bit
She's the first BJD I've had the pleasure of seeing in person and she's even better than I could have guessed. The joints are amazing and the range of movement is unbelievable and so realistic...she sits, stands, slouches...whatever I want really!

Now I'm just waiting for her to let me know what hair she'd like and tell me what her name is :)

Baby Spoon

With the arrival of another little baby in our household I thought I'd take the opportunity to highlight one of my products...the sweetest baby spoons....I just love the shape of these little spoons!
They are only about 10cms long and are just the right size for baby's first meal.
They also make the perfect keepsake!
I sell them in pairs for R85 excluding shipping charges, just pop me an e-mail if you're interested!

It's a boy!

We finally welcomed a little boy into our lives on the 14th March.
Thank you so much for all the messages of congratulations and well wishes we've received!

Caught a bug...

...in fact I caught two.

Just as well baby hasn't made a move yet!

First my son reminded me that the baby had no where to sit and I'd promised to make a bean bag for him/her. True enough, so I pulled out the sewing machine and before I knew it I had the sewing bug...I finished off the bean bag and made a nice snuggly blanket for my daughter for the up coming winter (not pictured)

Then my daughter wanted to change her doll's clothes, and I decided it was high time Bella had another dress that actually fit her, so I made her a simple peasant style dress out of an old t-shirt of mine.

And last but not least, I couldn't leave my poor girls out while I was busy with dolly sewing, so I made this little dress.
The second bug hasn't been quite so pleasant, a nice head cold...ugh...but the worst is over and I feel like I can have a baby again...so come baby, come...we're all waiting for you!!!
