Playing with tye dye & fabric paints

I decided to try my hand and tye dyeing at home since we had so much fun the last time.
The colour I chose turned out a bit darker than expected, so I wasn't able to paint over as easy as I hope, but here are some of the results.

Luke means "bringer of light" or "morning"

Sookie

Meet sweet little Sookie who enjoys having a mug of tea with friends on rainy days.

She sits at 16cm's tall and stands at 22cms. While she can stand she much prefers sitting down with her tea.

She is made from sparse mohair and is completely hand sewn, including her nose and freckles. She has black glass eyes and and ultra suede paws, and is nicely weighted with glass beads and lead in her tummy and her feet. She is fully cotterpin jointed.

While she is similar to Bastian I actually reworked the entire pattern, and I am happy with how she turned out.

*Sookie has already found a home with Cloudberry and Sugar, she can't wait to share many stories over cups of tea with them!*

Little Cloudberry

I finished little Cloudberry today.

She is made from lilac mohair and was handsewn. She has glass eyes, a handstiched thread nose and 3 little buttons down her front.

Her feet are nicely weighed with lead and her belly is filled with a mix of lead and glass beads.

She stands easily, is fully poseable with cotterpin joints and is 8cms tall.

Funnily enough I had quite a time finishing this little bear...my fingers bear testament to the battle, I'm sure I got a needle stuck into them over 50 times :)
