Haramaki

Also known as a tummy warmer. Apparently is an item of underwear that old ladies in Japan used to wear but has now made a fashionable come back.

I always have this section between my jeans and my top that gets chilly in winter, so I decided to remedy that this winter without buying a whole new wardrobe.

I'm still working on it but here is one of my attempts.

Haru - The Little Easter Bunny

An egg arrived just in time for Easter and inside I found this little anime easter bunny.

His name is Haru - which means "springtime" in Japanese.

He is handsewn from sparse mohair with a red backing and yellow fur. His head is cotterpin jointed but his arms and legs are string jointed. He has glass eyes, a handsewn nose, freckles and belly button and sits at 6cm's tall.

He has been nicely weighted in his tummy and feet with lead.

Haru is currently looking for a home.

*Please note Haru is not suitable for a child's toy*
