This was my first attempt with some wool and some scraps of ribbon and fabric left over from my wedding dress...I'm not a 100% happy, the bodice is too stiff and not "lacy" enough and I did the skirt really really roughly, but I think it turned out ok?
I've got some different yarn to try for the top now so hopefully I will get more of the effect I want with the next one :)

ReplyDeleteMost often it could be an entirely cotton dress with a lot shaping plus a creamy veil around the head. Nevertheless that pattern not too long ago light in lots of fashionable parishes.
