Yarn sales & Afghans!

Last week our local yarn store had their annual winter sale and of course I had to go.
I came back with just a *little* yarn...ok, maybe not so little, maybe quite a lot, but certainly not as much as I could have!  Pity there is only so much time in the day.

Anyway here's a small pile, that's being turned into an afghan blanket

Flower Girls Dress take 2

One of my doll outfits that's headed to New York...sometimes I wish I could pack myself up in an envelope and go off to all these places my goodies go to!

Flower girl dress

I'm working on an idea for a flower girl dress that I have at the moment, with a crochet bodice and tutu type skirt.
This was my first attempt with some wool and some scraps of ribbon and fabric left over from my wedding dress...I'm not a 100% happy, the bodice is too stiff and not "lacy" enough and I did the skirt really really roughly, but I think it turned out ok?
I've got some different yarn to try for the top now so hopefully I will get more of the effect I want with the next one :)
