One of my doll outfits that's headed to New York...sometimes I wish I could pack myself up in an envelope and go off to all these places my goodies go to!

Flower girl dress

I'm working on an idea for a flower girl dress that I have at the moment, with a crochet bodice and tutu type skirt.
This was my first attempt with some wool and some scraps of ribbon and fabric left over from my wedding dress...I'm not a 100% happy, the bodice is too stiff and not "lacy" enough and I did the skirt really really roughly, but I think it turned out ok?
I've got some different yarn to try for the top now so hopefully I will get more of the effect I want with the next one :)

No time to organise...

Quick earflap hat!

I've been busy putting together some bits and bobs for the shelf I'm going to have in the cupcake/coffee shop my sister is opening, but I have no photos of that stuff yet, so I'll have to update with all of that at a later satge.

The other night we were going out for dinner and our littlest had to come with.  It was absolutely freezing so I whipped up this little crochet hat to keep him cosy while we were out.

I think he looks quite sweet in it!

Crochet hats

I pulled my crochet hooks this last week and started working on a few hats.  Firstly I've been asked to make some newborn photography props, so first i made the hat with the pom pom.  It was a bit tight and stiff though so I amended the pattern, increased the width of the stripes and knitted the next one much looser,  and I'm far happier with how it turned out.

I also put together a little ear flap hat for Faina, my DC Bella who joined the family recently!

Knitting Needle Holder

My knitting needles are usually a mess, I can't find them when I need them and I never know which sizes I have so often end up buying duplicates accidentally...so I asked my Mommy very nicely if she needed an idea for a gift for me sometime if she could please make me a knitting needle holder like her own very organised one.

So look what she brought around the other day!

All my needles are nicely organised now, and that tube on the side is holding all my crochet needles and DPNs, which I just roll up in the middle :)
